Mini Madrasah is a fully in-person programme designed to give children consistent, structured learning across the year, with a strong focus on building foundations, routine, and confidence in their early Arabic and Qur’an journey.

The programme has been thoughtfully created to support children gently and intentionally, prioritising steady progress, commitment, and presence, rather than rushing or overwhelm. Through regular face-to-face classes, children benefit from a clear structure and a supportive learning environment that allows them to feel secure, capable, and confident as learners.

Mini Madrasah focuses on calm, joyful learning that honours childhood while still providing clarity and consistency. Children are supported throughout the year with ongoing guidance in an environment that values routine, familiarity, and meaningful engagement.

All classes are led by fully DBS/CRB checked, with experience teaching young children in a gentle and age-appropriate way.

This programme is ideal for families seeking a committed, in-person madrasah setting that lays strong foundations and nurtures confidence over time.

Course Overview

Madrasah Huda — Weekend Programme

Madrasah Huda is a structured weekend programme designed as a follow-on from Madrasah Noor. It is ideal for children who are ready to continue their Islamic learning in a more focused way, but may not be able to commit to weekday evening madrasah.

Children who are 7 years old are also welcome to join Madrasah Huda directly. Classes are open to both boys and girls.

The programme helps children build upon the foundations developed in Madrasah Noor, while introducing a more structured approach to Qur’an reading, surahs, du’as, fiqh, akhlaaq, and aadaab. Through regular revision, Safar Qa’idah, and essential Islamic studies, children are supported in learning the key requirements of the deen in a steady and age-appropriate way.

A key focus of Madrasah Huda is helping children understand and practise the basics of purification and prayer, alongside developing good character, manners, and a positive connection with their faith. The aim is to nurture confident young Muslims who not only learn about Islam, but begin to apply Islamic values in their daily lives.

This programme is especially suited to families who would like their child to continue progressing in Islamic education through a weekend-only option, while still receiving structured learning and guidance in the essentials of the deen, inshaAllah.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

• If your child is already on Qur’an, they will continue moving forward at a pace that is both appropriate and suitably challenging for them.
• Once girls reach the age of ten, they will have the opportunity to continue their studies at our madrasa.
• For boys, however, the upper age limit is 10 years old. Beyond this age, we kindly ask that alternative provision is sought which is more suitable for their age and developmental needs.

• Class Size: Small groups with a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio
• Time: 11.45am – 1.00pm

Programme Structure

5 minutes – Revision of previous surahs and du’as
25 minutes – Qa’idah (Safar)
20 minutes – Surahs and Du’as
25 minutes – Fiqh of Purification and Prayer

Monthly Feature: Once each month, students will take part in an Islamic seasonal workshop linked to important occasions, themes, and events throughout the Islamic year. These sessions will include hands-on activities, crafts, nasheeds, and other engaging learning experiences.

Fees & Payment

• Total course fee: £540 for the year
• Payment options:
  • Pay in full upfront
  • Or 12 monthly payments of £45

Monthly payments remain the same during holidays, as fees are spread evenly across the year.

Uniform Requirements

To help create a respectful and consistent learning environment, children are required to follow the Mini Madrasah uniform guidelines:

• Girls: Hijab
• Boys: Topi

Resources

The following resources will be used throughout the Mini Madrasah programme:

 

• Safar Qaida – used for Qur’an reading to support strong letter recognition and reading foundations
  A link to purchase the Safar Qaida will be sent closer to the time.
• All subjects beyond Qa’idah and Qur’an reading will follow a curriculum that has been carefully developed in-house. This allows us to create lessons that are age-appropriate, engaging, and tailored to the needs of our students, while ensuring a thorough and well-rounded Islamic education.
• Stationery & Craft Materials – all stationery and craft resources used during sessions will be provided as part of the programme.

 

Important Information

• Once the academic year comes to an end, you will have the opportunity to re-enrol for the following academic year, inshaAllah.
• Closer to the start of the academic year, we will also send out a Child Information Form for you to complete, along with an additional notes section where you can share any information you feel would help us support your child in the best possible way.
• Please note: Class age ranges apply to the academic year September 2026 to July 2027. Your child should fall within the stated age range at some point during this period.
