Ustadah Mariam is the founder and academic director of the Arabic with Mariam Institute. She began memorising the Quran at the age of 8 and by the grace of Allah (swt) completed its memorisation at the age of 12. She then moved onto studying the Alimmiyah Programme at Jameah Uloomul Quran, which entailed taking an in depth study of the Arabic language, Quranic Sciences, Hadith Sciences, Fiqh, and Principles of Jurisprudence. She graduated in 2011 finishing with distinction. Ustadah Mariam thereafter completed a level 3 qualification in teaching and learning, a Post Graduate Access (PGA) in Education, and subsequently graduated with distinction in M.Ed Masters in Islamic Education from the Warwick University in 2023. Moreover, she has more than 16 years of teaching experience in schools, maktabs, and Islamic Institutions.

Ustadha Fatima
Ustadah Fatima is graduate of Islamic Dawah Academy (IDA). She graduated from the Alimmiyah Programme, which consisted of Arabic language, Quranic Sciences, Hadith Sciences, Fiqh, and Principles of Jurisprudence. After graduating, and over the past ten years, Ustadah Fatima has been teaching Islamic education to young children as well as adults. She has vast experience in teaching Tajweed and Arabic grammar. Ustadah Fatima is an invaluable member of the team, and is currently teaching Tajweed, First Steps in Reading Class, and recitation of the Quran at Arabic with Mariam.
Ustadah Raziyah studied for 5 years at Jameah Uloomul Quran. The course entailed an in depth study of Arabic Language, Tajweed, Aqidah, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, Ulum al-Tafseer, Ulum al-Hadith, and Seerah. Excelling in her studies, Ustadah Raziya was blessed with the opportunity to gain a place teaching children and adults Quran and Tajweed, whilst still studying. Through the grace of Allah Ustadah Raziya graduated in 2012, and has since been in the field of Islamic Education with a total of 11 years of teaching experience. In addition to running a successful business, Ustadah Raziya is also currently an Arabic with Mariam Instructor, teaching Level 1 Tajweed and Quran Recitation to adults.

Ustadha Sabaa graduated as an Alimah in 2012 after completing an in depth ‘Alimiyyah programme rooted in traditional Islamic scholarship. Her studies ignited a deep love for the Qur’an, Hadith, and the rich heritage of Islamic knowledge: a passion that continues to shape her teaching journey.
She went on to establish Aroomatul Hikmah, an Islamic learning space in Leicester for women and children, where she taught Qur’an, Tafseer, and other core Islamic sciences for several years – a chapter she holds close to her heart. Currently, she continues to teach Qur’an, Tajweed, Fiqh, Hadith, and Tafseer in the Urdu language to local women in Leicester.
Ustadha Sabaa is also a mother of two: a 7 and 4 years old, who inspire her every day to lead with care, compassion, and purpose. She understands the unique balance many women strive for between personal growth and family life. Her warm, relatable approach makes her classes feel both spiritually enriching and personally supportive.
